Clay

 Clay Monsters: once learning how to make pinch pots and different aspects of clay, including how to add different aspects. We learned the differences between additive and subtractive elements which we were to incorporate one of each within our monsters. Because we used air dry clay, we could paint our monsters right away. 

Extension Activity: I would like to use this activity as an integration activity with writing. Because we made the monsters with their mouths open, I would have students then write a story explaining why their monsters mouth was open.
