Description:This project is a footprint to show different aspects of a persons personality and help them to introduce themselves. Specifically for this project we were asked to use at least three different media and show others different things about you. Some mediums that I used in this project were colored pencil, glue, yarn, washi tape, and stickers.
Elements I included:
- Popcorn
- This is one of my favorite snacks and something that my dad would make homemade, which I always asked for him to make.
- Coffee
- Something that I drink almost every day and love.
- Yarn
- I did some missionary work for the past two summers and we used this yarn to represent different things during the week.
- Flowers
- This is made from a card, which I enjoy writing cards to people and I love flowers, especially wild flowers.
- Ice Skate
- I teach ice skating lessons and find this activity really relaxing and fun.
- Crown
- Growing up I wanted to be a princess, still think that this can come true.
- Monstrance
- A part of my Catholic faith that I love.
- Camera
- One of my jobs is working on campus with NSUtv in the media center, this includes recording different events and editing them so they can go online.
- Dino Stickers
- Who doesn't like stickers and dinosaurs, they are just cool
Extension Activity: One activity that I would want to do in my classroom is letting the students design their own name plates that will go on their desks. One thing that I want to do is have students name plates on the front of their desk rather than on top simply by adding some magnet strips or tape. Making sure that they include their name and different elements that represent themselves. Some different elements or examples for students would include: favorite color, food, animal, or activity, what their family looks like, what they want to be when they grow up, etc. Specific things that I would be looking for/asking for would be their names, at least three different elements past their name, and include one different texture (either from supplies provided at school or ones that students have at home) (ex. ribbon, cotton balls, tape, wood, fabric, string).
